ABOUT THE JOB

Henrico 911 is the heart of public safety operations and the lifeline between people in need and providing them with Police, Fire, and Emergency Medical Services. We are the first, first responder, and the first voice people hear on potentially the worst day of their life. Being a 911 Dispatcher is not just what we do, but who we are, and we understand that this career is not for everyone. Every day, every call, and every person you encounter is never the same. You will be exposed to stressors you may not have dealt with in your personal life, and calls that do not always have a positive outcome. If you have what it takes to answer the call, and are seeking a career that is incredibly rewarding, fast-paced, team-oriented, and makes a real difference to the community, then we want you to join our team!
